The Terenure gravel driveway started by taking everything out. The old surface was broken out and carted away, and the frontage was dug down to a firm base. The granite cobble apron and the cobble border went in next, set on concrete, before any stone arrived. With the base compacted, the golden gravel was bedded in and raked level, so it holds its line against the cobbles where the car turns in off the road.
