Quartz Crazy Paving & Cedar Courtyard
A tired rear courtyard in Harold’s Cross rebuilt from the ground up: the back wall opened and rebuilt with pillars for a roller door, Donegal quartz antique crazy paving laid across the yard, and a wall of cedar wood cladding to finish it.
A full rear-courtyard rebuild. The old back wall was opened up and rebuilt with new pillars framing an opening for a roller door, the ground dug out and levelled, and the yard finished in Donegal quartz antique crazy paving, with a wall of cedar wood cladding to warm the space.
The transformation.
The old courtyard was stripped out and dug down, and the back wall opened up ready to be rebuilt. Drag the slider to see the change.
How we did it.
Back wall opened and dug out
The old back wall was opened up and the courtyard dug down to a firm base, with the spoil carted away ready for the rebuild.

Block pillars for the roller door
New block walls went up and pillars were built to frame an opening for a roller door, every course checked off a level.

Cedar cladding and quartz paving
A wall of cedar wood cladding was fixed to battens, and Donegal quartz antique crazy paving was laid across the yard to a tight, level finish.

The finished job.
