The project
A golden gravel driveway in Terenure, framed by a granite cobble apron at the entrance and a cobble border set on concrete.
The old surface was broken out and carted away, and the drive rebuilt on a compacted base: a granite cobble apron at the entrance, a cobble border to hold the shape, and the gravel bedded in tight so it stays where it is put.

How we did it.

Dug out and edged
The old surface was broken out and dug down to a firm base, then the granite cobble apron and edging were set on concrete to frame the drive.
02
Base and gravel
With the base compacted and the edges set, the golden gravel was bedded in and raked tight to a level finish.
