Gravel Driveway & Cobble Apron
The project
A golden gravel driveway in Rathfarnham, framed by a curved cobble edge and a full cobble apron at the entrance.
The old surface was broken out and carted away, then the drive rebuilt on a compacted base: a cobble apron at the road, a curved cobble edge to hold the shape, and the gravel bedded in tight so it stays where it is put.

How we did it.

Dug out and edged
The old surface was broken out, and the cobble apron and curved edging were bedded on concrete to frame the drive.
02
Base and gravel
With the base compacted and the edges set, the gravel went in and was raked tight to a level finish.
