Granite Driveway & Patio
A black granite driveway with a silver granite border at the front of a Cabinteely house, with a porcelain patio and a raised bed behind it.
Front and back at the same house. The black granite driveway in Cabinteely has a silver granite border along the footpath, across the entrance and round the planted bed inside the gate, so the dark surface sits in a frame of light stone. Behind the house, large-format porcelain runs from the side passage to the back door, with a raised bed on one side. See more of our porcelain patios and natural stone driveways.
Black granite is one of the hardest paving stones there is: it does not fade, it does not stain the way concrete products can, and it shows its colour best when wet, which in Dublin is often. The silver border holds the edge so nothing moves, and it draws a clean line between the drive, the bed and the path.
It is the same build as our porcelain driveway in Sandyford and the Stillorgan patio: the base and the falls first, the stone last. James filmed the back patio on the day it was finished, hosed down before anything went back on it.
What decides the price is the area to be dug out and carted away, the stone you choose, the edging and the levels. We visit, measure and give you a free written quotation, and every job carries our 10-year written guarantee. If you are in Cabinteely or nearby, send a photo of the front or the back on WhatsApp and we will come out and look.
