Granite Cobble Driveway & Pebble Borders
The project
A period front garden rebuilt with a granite cobble driveway, dark pebble borders and the original wrought-iron gates as the centrepiece.
Everything inside the gates was stripped back to bare ground, then the drive was rebuilt around hand-laid granite cobbles, with dark pebble borders and black edging setts framing the runs. A finish chosen to sit right with the age of the house.

How we did it.

Cobbles laid to a line
The granite cobbles went down first, laid to tight lines from the gates up to the house.
02
Widened at the house
The path widens into a paved apron at the front door, with every course checked level as it went down.
