Tarmac & Granite Driveway
A complete front-garden rebuild in Foxrock: jet-black tarmac framed by a granite cobble apron, new rendered walls and granite steps.
This was a full rebuild, not a resurface. The entrance walls were rebuilt, a granite cobble apron and edging set on concrete, and then the dense black tarmac laid to falls, with a drainage channel keeping water on the move.
The transformation.
The old driveway surface had worn thin, and the entrance needed rebuilding altogether. Drag the slider to see the change.
How we did it.
Dug out and walled
The old surface came out and the entrance was rebuilt, with new boundary walls and a full dig-out down to a compacted base.

Granite set on concrete
The granite cobble apron and edging were set on concrete, with every line checked off a level before any surfacing.

Steps, capping and finish
New granite steps went in at the front door and the walls were capped and rendered, ready for the tarmac.

The finished job.
