How we did it.
01
Old surface lifted
The tired lawn and broken slabs were lifted and the ground dug out to depth.

Base and drainage
A compacted sub-base was laid with a drainage channel set to carry water clear of the house.
03
Limestone laid by hand
Egyptian limestone was hand-laid on a full bound bed to tight, even joints.
